Government eyes Air Greenland stake

The governments of Denmark and Greenland have initiated talks on the government of Greenland’s acquiring shares in Air Greenland owned by the Danish state.

The acquisition is conditional on the parties agreeing on a number of issues, including valuation of the shares.

In addition, SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) and the government of Greenland are in talks whereby the state will consider buying the 37.5% stake in Air Greenland owned by SAS.
