PGGM takes Macquarie AirFinance stake

Dutch pension investor PGGM Infrastructure Fund will take a 25% interest in aircraft lessor Macquarie AirFinance.

The investment is PGGM’s first in the aircraft leasing sector.

GGM has capacity to deploy additional capital to support the growth of Macquarie AirFinance, according to a news release.

At 31 December 2018, PGGM had €211 billion ($235 billion) in assets under management and was administrating the pensions of 4.4 million participants.

Macquarie AirFinance holds a portfolio as of 1 March of 196 aircraft and 60 aircraft orders.
