Turkish Airlines (THY) has become the first airline to use the new insurance-backed aircraft financing product Balthazar combined with a French lease for the financing of five A321neo aircraft.
The transaction was arranged by BNP Paribas.
BNP Paribas committed up to $225 million for the five aircraft that are scheduled to be delivered in 2019.
